Archaeology: Career and Scope

A special lecture on the topic '' Archaeology: Career and Scope '' had held in the Birla Hostel 'A', BHU. The guest was Dr Sachin Kumar Tiwary who is currently posted as Assistant Professor in department of Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archaeology of Banaras Hindu University.

He has delivered the lecture on the above topic very clearly and thoroughly. He told about the archaeology as '' Archaeology is the scientific study of the materials e.g. artifacts remain of past human life and activities. '' He told about the scope of archaeology as interest in our heritage and we have to live our antiquity and also should maintain our antiquity to make them heritage. He also told about some extra facts about the archaeology. He also told that in foreign country there is a subject of archaeology in the matriculation level but in India it is in graduation level. He told about the career opportunities in the archaeology. He told about the government job opportunities as well as private jobs. He told that we can start our career as an archaeologist by completing our post graduation . He preferred some institutions for the courses of archaeology. He guided the students to go ahead in the course of archaeology. He also shares some experiences in the field of archaeology. He said that an archaeologist must be punctual and patient.
He has guided and motivated us . All the inmates of Birla Hostel 'A' are thankful to him.
