लगातार दूसरी बार पूरे विश्वविद्यालय के छात्रों को पीछे छोड़ते हुए बिड़ला छात्रावास ' अ'  के छात्र सत्यम कुमार ने विश्वविद्यालय के वार्षिक कार्यक्रम 'स्पन्दन' में आयोजित निबंध प्रतियोगिता में प्रथम स्थान हासिल कर संपूर्ण  बिड़ला परिवार का नाम रोशन किया है | सत्यम ने लगातार दूसरी बार यह प्रतियोगिता जीती है | संपूर्ण बिड़ला परिवार उनकी इस उपलब्धि पर गौरवान्वित है |छात्रावास के प्रशासनिक संरक्षक डॉ विक्रम सिंह ने प्रत्यक्ष रूप से सत्यम को बधाई दी | सत्यम काशी हिन्दू विश्वविद्यालय के कला संकाय के बी0  ए0  द्वितीय वर्ष के छात्र हैं | सत्यम बिड़ला छात्रावास ' अ'  के अन्तःवासी हैं | हम सभी सत्यम के उज्जवल भविष्य की कामना करते हैं |

                                            This club is dedicated to all BIRLAites.  The inception of the sports club is done to inculcate and promote the sports culture amongst the students. The club will also facilitate the students to participate in various sports festivals and tournaments organized across various stages in the country. We will also conduct inter hostel tournaments of numerous sports to take their mind off the strenuous academic schedule and keep them physically fit and motivated. The club will also organize various events in the hostel like Inter-Hostel Indoor Games e.g. Badminton,TableTennis, Chess and Outdoor Games e.g. Cricket, Football and others. Background - The Faculty has one of the oldest hostels in the University named Birla Hostel constructed way back in 1921 by the legendary industrialist Shri Jugal Kishore Birla in the memory of his father Raja Baldev Das Birla. It is a large hostel and for administrative purposes it was divided in 3 sub-hostels - Birla A, Birla B and Birla C; about a decade back. Undergraduate students are accommodated in Birla A while Birla B is meant for Research Scholars and Birla C for Postgraduate students. Administration -  There are one Administrative Warden and two wardens in the hostel. Facilities -  There are many curricular and extracurricular facilities in the hostel. 1.
